摘要
Innovation and change have become increasingly more important in today's business environment. To be successful, enterprises must continuously adapt to new business situations. Agility becomes a key success factor. Information Technology (IT) has responded to this challenge with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). SOA delivers flexibility in the use of application software components at a low cost level. However, in order to achieve real business value, knowledge about business processes and change requirements needs to be communicated to the SOA environment. This knowledge communication requires a structured approach to business process modeling and a systematic transformation of these models into process descriptions, executable in an SOA environment. The following paper explains the path from process design to SOA based execution, incorporating the necessary knowledge management.
