摘要：
Genetically modified animals are organisms having artificially inserted extraneous genes in their chromosomes. In the literature review the authors briefly present the usefulness of the genetically modified organisms, discuss the legislation on gene technology in the European Union and Hungary, and summarize the major ethical issues of this technology.
