摘要
Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs) are growing rapidly in modern variable speed wind turbines due to their various advantages such as ability of decoupling the control of active and reactive power exchanged with the grid and less size of power converters. One of the most disadvantages of DFIG is its sensitivity to grid disturbances such as voltages dips and line faults, so it is subjected to be disconnected quickly from the grid during grid faults that affects negatively on grid stability and power quality. To enhance stability and performance of DFIG during grid faults, new techniques are required such as connecting crowbar resistance across rotor terminals and also pitch angle control can be applied. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the behavior of DFIG under normal and abnormal conditions that may occur at the machine terminals. The model is created in MATLAB / SIMULINK environment.
