摘要
This article serves as an introduction to this issue of the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which is dedicated pri(SCIMS) research in the United States. The SCIMS program began in 1970, with funding from the agency now known as the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) within the Administration for Community Living in the Department of Health and Human Services.1 Since the start of the program, 31 SCIMS centers have been designated by NIDILRR to demonstrate a comprehensive care system for persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) and conduct research to improve long-term functional, vocational, cognitive, and quality-of-life outcomes for individuals with Over the last 3 decades, SCIMS investigators have collaborated
