摘要
This paper is concerned with three dimensional defect reconstruction from magnetic images. Magnetic measurements arising in eddy current testing are used for detecting and characterizing defect shape. Natural cracks are divided into a couple of segments. Defect is then characterized by its width, length, and depth of each segment. A computational method using virus-evolutionary genetic algorithm (VEGA) is proposed for sizing such segments. Successful computational experiments will be summarized in the presentation.
