Research on task intelligent assignment in the management of concurrent product development

Task assignment plays the important role in concurrent development management. A project C-DSM can be built with concurrent degree. By decomposition of task sequence, a complex task sequence of a C-DSM can be simplified to one or several simple sequences. The two-dimensional encoding is presented by task-team matching matrix. Under the genetic algorithms theory, a solution of task intelligent assignment in concurrent development is developed with task-team efficiency matrix, concurrent hierarchy depth, and team cost list. Lastly, the algorithm of task intelligent assignment in concurrent development is validated by an engineering example.
