Autocorrelation in Multiblock Copolymers

摘要
The rate of information loss in a periodic system that is subject to random variation can be described using the autocorrelation function. Autocorrelation functions have been derived here for infinitely long polymers consisting of independent and identically distributed alternating geometric, negative binomial or Poisson-distributed blocks. The Poisson-distributed case represents the ideal case of a perfectly controlled chain polymerization, while the negative binomial case may be a model for non-ideal RDRP. In each case, the autocorrelation coefficient decays exponentially to zero with a characteristic length that is inversely proportional to (D-1).
