Evaluation on Land Ecological Security in Chengdu

The purpose of this paper is to study the trend of land ecological security in Chengdu. In this paper, improved entropy method, multi-objective comprehensive evaluation method and coordination degree model are applied to evaluate land ecological security from 1998 to 2007 in Chengdu. The results show that land ecological security in Chengdu gets better in general, but the variation is small; economic factors play an important role in Chengdu land ecological security; coordination relations between four subsystems of Chengdu land ecological security system are instable. Following a discussion of these challenges, this paper proposes some reasonable suggestions to deal with them.
