摘要
The increasing incidence of diseases spread between continents evidences the need to address health from the same perspective, with global efforts in all areas. Translational medicine tries to generate solutions from basic research to clinical and policy decision making, and vice versa. The aim of the study was to reflect on the importance of applying the "One Health" approach to the control of emerging and re-emerging zoonoses with high impact worldwide. A qualitative, documentary and non-experimental systematic review was carried out by means of a search of articles in English and Spanish, located in databases such as: lmbiomed, Scopus, Science Direct, ClinicalKey and Pubmed. The results show that emerging and reemerging zoonoses can be better understood under the "One Health" perspective, defined by WHO as an approach conceived to design and implement programs, policies, laws and research in which multiple sectors communicate and collaborate to achieve better public health outcomes.
