摘要：

The aim of this article is to analyze the tourism industry and its relationship with the Andalusian territory using some statistical indicators. These indicators are used both for putting in context Andalusia within Spain and for addresing the chronological evolution of the tourism industry in the region and its spatial distribution. Finally, special attention is paid to the fast occupation of the coastal land for tourist and residential uses, examining future trends.
