Reform path of social security system in China

Social security system reform is one of the most important issues in Today's China. 14 After decades of efforts, the Chinese social security system has been basically established. It plays an important role in developing economy, stabilizing society and raising living standards. As reforms deepen and population aging, however, the social security encounters tremendous difficulties and needs radical reform. In this thesis, the authors firstly review the reform history of the Chinese social security system and introduce the system's present structure; then analyze the main problems the system faces; lastly, give several options for reform.
