The theoretical study of multiple ionization of C60 fullerene by fast proton impact

摘要
We theoretically studied the n-th multiple ionization cross section, delta(n) (n = 1, 2), of the C-60 fullerene in collisions with protons at impact energies of 150 keV to 2 MeV, on the basis of the impact-parameter dependent ionization probability per atom, in the independent-atom picture. The dependence of Q on the incident-beam direction was found, where the alignment of two carbon atoms is important. The present results are in better agreement with the recent experimental data, than the statistical energy deposition model.
