摘要
A probe has been designed which uses a simplified impedance measuring system to determine soil water content. Apart from cost and simplicity, a major advantage is its d.c. voltage output which allows continuous unattended recording by most field data loggers. The calculated soil water volumetric fraction (theta(v)) determined by this new method compares well with results from the standard neutron probe. (C) 1996 Silsoe Research Institute
