摘要
Briefest rules mining is a NP-hard problem, and genetic algorithm is a heuristic stochastic searching algorithm that can avoid NP-hard complexity Here we propose a strategy using genetic algorithms to promise mining the briefest rule set theoretically. The fitness function that is used as an objective to evaluate the briefness level of a rule set in genetic algorithm is discussed in detail. And the superiority of the algorithm in terms of availability of mining the briefest rules is analyzed.
