摘要
Broadcasts with sign language speaker have a critical role for deaf and mute people for reaching audiovisual media. The objective of this study is to design a query by sign system for deaf and mute people who wish to search video repositories and people who wish to learn sign language. This paper briefly describes progress of an ongoing project. Hand gesture recognition, representation and retrieval of the sign videos are important parts of this project. Subsequence dynamic time warping is used to find best matching sub-sequence in a long sequence. Precision at 10 is used to evaluate success of the system.
