Are small scales of turbulence able to wrinkle a premixed flame at large scale?

摘要
A common hypothesis in the study of turbulent premixed flames has been to consider that small scales participate in the renormalization of the turbulent flame speed, but do not renormalize the turbulence at larger scales. We study here a simple model where this hypothesis can be shown to be qualitatively false.
