摘要
The catalytic activity of NiO based catalyst prepared from different salt precursors of acetate, nitrate and sulphate salts were investigated towards CO2/H-2 methanation reaction, in order to study the effect of type of precursor on the reactivity of the catalyst prepared. Results obtained showed that the NiO based catalyst prepared from nitrate precursor gave highest catalytic activity with 80.03% methanation of CO2 at 500 degrees C of the reaction temperature. Characterization techniques such as FTIR, XRD and SEM were carried out to see the effect of various physical properties of the NiO based catalyst obtained from different salts precursors used, which contributed in a good CO2/H-2 methanation reactivity of the catalyst.
