摘要
A compact microstrip antenna for UWB applications is presented. The proposed antenna is fabricated on FR-4 substrate having a thickness of 1.6 mm. The size of the antenna is 28 x 29 mm(2). The antenna consisting of a hexagonal patch with rectangular slot yields better bandwidth. The ground plane is also defective, and the antenna is radiating by means of a microstrip line feed. The antenna radiates from 5.73 to 10.8 GHz providing a percentage bandwidth of 61.34. The return loss is up to -40 dB and provides a maximum gain of 6 dBi. (C) 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
