Optimal control of the cantilever plate using neural networks

摘要
In this paper, a neural network based controller which optimizes a finite horizon quadratic cost function is developed for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown dynamics. The controller is applied to a cantilever plate. Two implementation methods are introduced. One utilizes a lookup table to obtain the control off-line. The other is a neural network controller. The open loop and close loop responses for both types of controllers are presented.
