Structure and superconducting properties of the Nb3Pb compound

摘要
The Nb3Pb compound was synthesized at 1150degreesC using films of niobium-based solid solutions containing 11.1-22.7 at. % lead. The films were produced by ion plasma sputtering on a rotary substrate. The lattice i parameter of the Nb3Pb compound was found to be independent of the lead content in the initial solid solution and equal to 0.5952 nm. It was found that the critical temperature of the superconducting transition of Nb3Pb synthesized from the solid solution with 20.9 at. % Ph is equal to 5.6 K; the critical current density was found to be equal to no less than 4 x 10(4) A cm(-2).
