摘要：
The new European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines on diabetes, prediabetes and cardiovascular diseases, which were compiled in collaboration of the ESC with the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), are a further development of the guidelines published in 2013. In the current version from 2019 recently published data from large cardiovascular endpoint studies with new antidiabetic substances are included. These have led to a completely new positioning of hypoglycemic agents for the reduction of cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes mellitus.
