Our research describes the benefits of ICT technology, e- and blended-leaming for learners of MFL (modem foreign languages) and their teachers, based on the U.K. Becta Report [1]. In a wider European context, the paper also explores the potential of an e-learning approach for modem foreign languages based on EU reports (Hehmann [2], Gonzalez and Belen [3]). Our synergy model combines elearning pedagogy with face-to-face learning in the classroom to produce a blended learning approach for foreign language learning at the University of Barcelona (UB).
