The Conflict between Urbanization and Cultural Diversity-From the Aspect of Historical Heritage Protection

Urbanization is the product of the rapid development of social economy and is also an inevitable trend. But during the urbanization it must bring the conflict between urban planning and historical heritage protection, which involves the popular topic discussed by the academic circles recently "cultural diversity". We note that conserving historical heritage and then maintaining cultural diversity are the necessary links in the whole environmental protection. This article firstly talks about the impact the urbanization causes on the historical heritage, and then proves the meaning of the historical heritage to cultural diversity. And on this basis it reflects how to relieve the conflict between urbanization and cultural diversity in order to realize the better conservation of historical heritage, then to obtain the unity among environmental benefit, economic benefit and social benefit.
