Offline signature verification system using Hidden Markov Model in MATLAB environment

摘要
This paper describes the design and development of a reliable offline signature verification system developed in MATLAB environment. The preprocessing methods, the feature extraction mechanism, the HMM modeling technique and the decision making algorithm used in the system are presented. The training and testing phases are also discussed in detail with testing having been carried out rigorously on Sigma [1] database - which reflects testing results in an actual application environment.
