摘要：
The new DIN 1055T6 standard (Actions on structures - Part 6: Silos and tanks), the application of which has been recommended for some time, has come into force since 2007. In conformity with this standard, a new pre-stressed silo was already designed and built in Turkey in 2005 for the storage of 40,000 t of white sugar. This was the first pre-stressed silo of such size in that country. For the designers, the combination of DIN 1055T6 and DIN 1045-1 (Design of concrete structures, reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete - Part 1: Design and construction) presented a novelty. The sugar silo is in operation in 2007 for the second year.
