Pamela is cracking a window into the dark matter world

In recent years, cosmologists, astrophysicists, and physicists who specialize in elementary particles have been seeking an explanation for the nature of dark matter, which comprises the great bulk of matter in the universe. The international project RIM-Pamela, which started about four years ago with the launch of the spacecraft Resource-DK1, is dedicated to this problem. The spacecraft carries the precision magnetic spectrometer Pamela, which is still functional. In the article below, A.M. Gal'per, the Russian coleader of the project, and Yu.I.
