Integrated mmWave Log-Spiral Antenna for High-Speed Wireless Communication

摘要
An integrated log-spiral antenna designed for a short-range high-speed wireless communication system is presented. The antenna was taped-out in the IHP SG13 process. Measurements have shown a relative bandwidth of 36 % with respect to the center frequency of 183 GHz. The maximum gain of the antenna is 7.5 dBi at 220GHz. The high bandwidth and the gain allow an integration with a travelling wave amplifier to enable ultra-wideband systems.
