Critical discourse analysis: An appeal on social psychology

Critical discourse analysis is presented namely from the viewpoint of set of theoretical presumptions that conceptualize the relations among discourse, knowledge, ideology, and social subject. The author points to variety of supposed connections between subject and discourse, namely in the context of displacement the structuralist paradigm by the post-structuralist one, the one-sided determination by the dialectical one. From the methodological aspect, the author refers to the theoretical sources (socio-linguistic theory of language, pragma-dialectic theory of argumentation) that contributed to the transformation of discourse analysis to critical, systematic, and trans-disciplinary method of text analysis in macro and micro social context. In the conclusion, the appeals on social psychology are indicated that are represented by critical discourse analysis (including interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary approach).
