摘要
The damping capacity AZ91D magnesium alloy and ADC12 aluminum alloy which is used in manufacturing engine valve cover were compared by testing. The results indicate that damping capacity of AZ91D magnesium alloy is greater than ADC12 aluminum alloy at room temperature and the working temperature on the engine. At the working temperature, the damping capacity of AZ91D increases nonlinearly with the increase of strain amplitude, when the strain amplitude of samples of AZ91D and ADC12 is 3.7x10(-3), the damping capacity of AZ91D is 2.5 times as ADC12, and the advantage is the largest.
