Goos-Hanchen shifts via composite layers of both positive-index medium (PIM) and negative-index medium (NIM) are analyzed using the stationary phase theory. They are dependent on the evenness or oddness of the number of interfaces between different types of media (such as PIM-NIM and NIM-PIM).
