摘要
This paper proposes a linear monolayer thin plasmonic polarizer (LMTPP) based on rectangular wire (Ag) gird arrangement that allows only x polarized wave to pass in the visible to lower near-infrared regions while blocking y polarized wave. Over the desired bands, the projected numerical result shows an average transmission of more than 95% Under the oblique incidence in between 0 degrees to 80 degrees and for visible range, the proposed polarizer offers an acceptable extinction ratio between 5dB-25dB and in addition with 80% degree of polarization. Similarly, in the lower near - infrared region, the proposed polarizer shows an extinction ratio in between 15-35dB and a degree of polarization of more than 95% This performance is achieved with an appropriate slit width, and metal length to control the slit resonance in the desired passband for a broad transmission peak.
