High energy plasmon satellites of L2M4,5M4,5 X-ray excited Auger-electron spectra of In, Sn, Sb and Ag

Bohm and Pines theory of plasmon oscillations in solids has been used to calculate the energy separation and relative intensity of F-3(2) transitions of L2M4,5M4,5 X-ray excited Auger: electron spectra of In, Sn, Sb, and Ag. The calculated values are in very good agreement with the observed values of Kleiman et al. This suggests that the possible origin of the F-3(2) satellites may be plasmon oscillations in solids.
