摘要
Asphalt bridge deck pavement subjected to high- and low-temperature environments is easily damaged (e.g. freezing in the winter and rutting in the summer). To prevent the freezing and rutting of asphaltic pavement, a groundwater circulation temperature control system (GCTCS) was designed for engineering applications. Using 3D simulations via COMSOL, feasibility levels were consolidated with the underground water to control the surface temperature of a bridge deck based on winter and summer conditions. Factors related to pipe spacing, flow velocities, the temperature of underground water, and the external environment were taken into consideration. Our simulation results show that the proposed GCTCS reliably prevents the freezing and rutting of asphalt deck pavement.
