摘要:
Sm(3+) ions doped NaSm(0.01)Ba(0.78)Sr(0.21) (PO(4)) was prepared by high-temperature solid-state reaction method. Sm(2+) ions were obtained by X-ray irradiation reduction. The samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence, and decay curves measurements. It is found that the conversion of Sm(3+)-> Sm(2+) after X-ray irradiation is very efficient in this phosphate. NaSm(0.01)Ba(0.78)Sr(0.21) (PO(4)) is a suitable host for Sm(3+) -> Sm(2+) conversion. The emission of Sm(2+) in this host after excitation into the 4f(5)5d(1) levels shows (5)D(0)-> (7)F(j) (J= 0, 1, 2) emission together with the broad 5d -> 4f emission band at room temperature, while only the (5)D(0)-> (7)F(j), (J=0, 1, 2) emission is observed at lower temperature.
