This study concerns the field of environmental attitude. Its aim is to look into pro-environmental attitudes and the constructs of ecocentrism and anthropocentrism, and to study the relationship they establish with the "ecological behaviour". In order to achieve this objective, a questionnaire completed by 500 adult subjects, The results show that pro-environmental attitudes are related to ecocentrism in a positive way and to anthropocentrism in a negative way. Moreover, those subjects who stated that they regularly recycled materials appeared to be more pro-environmental and ecocentric, whilst anthropocentrism related negatively to recycling behaviour. In addition, the results are compared with those of a sample of 73 subjects belonging to groups or organisations concerned with environmental protection and conservation.
