Hazardous waste assessment, management, and minimization

This review focuses on the management aspects of dealing with hazardous waste. There are three related review sections that may be of interest to readers; hazardous waste treatment technologies, storage disposal remediation and closure, and radioactive waste. There are also several review sections under the two categories of administration, and fate and effects of pollutants that may include related articles. As titled, the hazardous waste assessment management and minimization review section is divided into three main sub sections. The assessment section covers articles related to the effectiveness of various approaches to detect, remediate, or otherwise manage hazardous wastes that were published in 2004. The management section focuses on manuscripts highlighting the overall framework within which hazardous waste management was accomplished. The minimization section describes approaches that were used to reduce the amount of hazardous waste generated. Each subsection is described below.
