The Quality of Knowledge Flows and its Impact on the Intellectual Capital Development of a University

摘要
In a world characterized by an overload of information, it is important for a university professor not only to transmit to their students the right information, but also to transmit it in the right way. Besides the transmitted content, it is also important to have the adequate materials, visual aids and other. The best way to evaluate the quality of the knowledge flows from professors to students is to evaluate the way in which the students perceive this information and the way this information is used for their future jobs. The evaluation of the quality of the knowledge flows is important for the development of the performance of the students. In an indirect way, this leads also to the development of the university, by the creation of a good image of the university. If the graduates have good professional results and achieve good positions in their jobs, this will also have an impact on the university. This article presents the results of a satisfaction study, done among the students from a university from Romania and focuses on the elements regarding the quality of the courses and seminars. Only by qualitative courses can the students of the university develop. There are analyzed aspects like the achieved knowledge within courses, the relevance of the provided information, the recency of the information, visual support, application and interactivity at seminars, examples given or utility of projects. All these elements are correlated both with the performance of the students and their willingness to recommend or continue their studies at the same university. There are analyzed both elements regarding the content of the courses and the quality of the provided knowledge and also elements regarding the good transmission of the information, because it is not enough just to transmit good information, but also the way it is transmitted and if the transmitted information is perceived by the receiver. Especially in a university, these aspects are important for educational purposes.
