摘要
The Distance Education modality, in Higher Education Institutions, has been consolidating itself in the Brazilian scenario, through recognition and incentives from government agencies that have enhanced the opportunities for expanding distance education in the national territory. The COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced the relevance of remote education, providing an alternative to the struggle of social isolation. There are several challenges faced, and the Information and Communication Technology resources in virtual educational platforms are not always efficiently employed. In this context, this work aims to present na evaluation model of virtual platforms taking into account essential aspects of digital interactivity, software quality and sustainability. The elaboration of this work included systematic review, participant observation and application of case studies. From that point on, an evaluation model was proposed containing fifteen indicators, categorized in three dimensions: Digital Interactivity, Software Quality and Sustainability. This model can serve as tool for assessing the processes carried out by Higher Education Institutions and the Ministry of Education of the Brazilian government, since it was inspired by its own assessment instruments.
