Phase modulation of the surface acoustic breather

A theory of non-resonance surface acoustic breathers in nonlinear, dispersive and dissipative media is developed. The acoustic wave equation which describes nonlinear surface acoustic waves in the system insulating solid semi-space/solid layer (substrate-film) can be solved by using the reductive perturbation method. Explicit analytic expressions for the parameters of these nonlinear waves are obtained. The effects of phase modulation of a breather which are connected with interactions of acoustic waves with resonance paramagnetic impurities and with an external alternating magnetic field are discussed in detail.
