摘要：
Integration of a public transport fare collection system into the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) has been discussed and studied to increase comfort and convenience in riding public transit. In this paper, a smart card system is introduced as one of the alternatives for a solution. This paper evaluates a smart card system for integrating fare systems of public modes in SMA, reflecting the operational and structural characteristics of each transit mode.
