Bioconjugation is now firmly established as an important component of successful research in many different fields. The ability to link one molecule to another or to a surface frequently forms the basis for the detection, assay, or targeting and tracking of biomolecules. Basic research, materials science, electronics, clinical diagnostics, and even drug development benefit from the science of bioconjugation.
