摘要
In an attempt to improve a design method for foundations, a new approach using the slip line analysis is proposed. As a first step, the slip line analysis which can take account of nonlinearity of a failure envelope was proposed. Then, a method for predicting a load-settlement relationship was also proposed by introducing Kondner's hyperbolic function. The applicability of this approach was verified through model tests. As a result of the comparison, good agreement could be achieved when a suitable parameter in the Kondner's hyperbolic function was used. This is implying that bearing capacities which correspond to desired settlements will be predicted. It is also thought that this technique will be applied to the limit state design method.
