摘要：
Manufacturers of complex products cannot evade doing technical change if they don't want to fail to meet the quality requirements of the market in connection with the required competence for development. The virtual product development gains more and more importance in this context, to meet the factors of success such as innovation, time-to-market and quality. The transmission technology is taken as an example to represent the possibilities of a computer-based-working-place for gear development. In addition potentials of future CAx-Components are worked out.
