Macrokinetics of the energy release in high explosives containing nano-size boron particles

摘要
The pressure and particle velocity histories in shock and detonation waves have been measured for a coarse-grain and a fine-grain HMX and for a fine-grain HMX+16.4% B mixture. It was concluded the initial decomposition rate and C-J parameters in the mixture are controlled by the heat exchange. The additional energy of boron burn in detonation products is released at a later time.
