Spatial and energy distribution of electrons generated in the interaction of an electron beam with a nonuniform gas flow

摘要
The interaction of an electron beam with a nitrogen stream is modeled by the Monte-Carlo method. A comparison is made of the calculated excitation rates of the B-2 Sigma(u)(+) and C-3 Pi(u) states with the measured intensities of the first negative (transition B-2 Sigma(u)(+), v' = 0 --> X(1) Sigma(g)(+), v '' = 0) and the second positive (transition C-3 Pi(u), v' = 0 --> B-3 Pi(g), v '' = 0) nitrogen band radiation systems. An analysis of population mechanisms for B-2 Sigma(u)(+) nitrogen ion and C-3 Pi(u) nitrogen molecular states is presented.
