摘要
The article aims to reflect on the process of privatization of prisons in the last 20 years, in the field of the ideology of the "war on drugs" and its relationship with the significant increase in the incarceration of the population, whose motive, in short, it is the commercialization of penalties. This is a bibliographic study with critical criminology authors. As a result, it is evident, especially in Brazil, the effectiveness of public-private partnerships that serve the ideological interests of capital, pointing out the violation of Human Rights.
