摘要：
In summary, the diagnosis in our patient had been missed for 30 years. Portal hypertension was presumably suspected because of a lack of diagnostic tools and misinterpretation of the rectal pathology as rectal varices. The temporary jaundice seen at presentation was caused by the massive transfusion and the partially bypassed liver circulation (shunt) and resolved post-operatively.
