摘要
The hybrid natural fiber (aloe vera, roselle fibers enclosed with glass fiber) reinforced epoxy laminate is prepared by hand layup technique. LY556 epoxy resin and HY951 hardener were used in the preparation by 10:1 ratio. The prepared laminate is sampled by water jet machining for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis and Flame test as per ASTM standards. The viscoelastic behavior was studied from the curve, and it shows the concluded storage modulus is attained for the temperature of 88 degrees C, and the loss modulus shows a maximum of 416 MPa at 90 degrees C. The tan delta value is a maximum of 0.6 at 90 degrees C. The flame test result for the natural fiber reinforced hybrid composite shows the burning of composite per minute is 9.13 mm. The result shows the effect of hybridization shows a vital role in viscoelastic behavior. Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
