A Discussion on Teaching Reform in Adult Higher Education

Remarkable achievements have been made in furthering the reform of adult higher education and providing quality education to adults in China. However, there exist a number of problems and issues in the pattern and approach of adult education. To solve these problems, right ideas must be formed, clear understandings be developed; concentrated learning and distributed learning be consolidated; the fostering of persons with ability be reflected in the arrangement of courses; special textbooks for adult education be developed to make the teaching more effective and attract more students; and a strong teaching faculties be developed, and teaching methods and patterns be improved and reformed.
