An Empirical Study on the Impact of Team Climate on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior

摘要
Organizational citizenship behavior is a hot topic in the management research. It is important for the operational efficiency. This study explores the effect of team climate on organizational citizenship behavior. Data were collected through surveys that were administered by 58 teams. Individual-level variables were transformed into team-level variables by Rwg. The results show that team climate is related to OCB positively. The analysis further indicates that relationship has positive effect on the interpersonal dimensions of organizational citizenship behaviors. The research also finds that the organizational hierarchy has negative effect on the interpersonal dimensions of organizational citizenship behaviors.
